The award is considered both a high aspiration and a recognition of significant achievement for education professionals.

Our members of the Norwalk Federation of Teachers and Federation of Education Personnel at Jefferson Magnet were recognized for closing the achievement gap of the students they serve. Members of our Portland Paraprofessional Organization were honored for their middle school’s “exemplary high performing” category award.

Both Jefferson Magnet and Portland Middle School will be among those recognized next month at the annual Blue Ribbon Schools ceremony in Washington, D.C.
