“No Kings Day” Mass Protests

Members of all AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions are invited to join community members in taking to the streets as part of nationwide mass protests with a clear message: “No kings.” The purpose to demonstrate a unified response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from the Trump Administration and their allies in Congress.

The action organizers are committed to nonviolent protest and expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully.

The events are being organized by a coalition of organizations across the country and here in Connecticut, including our national union.
