Healthcare Council Meeting – CANCELED

Regular meeting of delegates from affiliated local healthcare unions to AFT Connecticut’s Healthcare Council. 

Agenda includes a focus group discussion with our national union’s health and safety facilitator, Sara Markle. Delegates are askew to come prepared to share their  thoughts on:

• What are members experiencing and what do they need?
• Can members access quality treatment for mental health needs and substance use disorders? 
• What are the barriers to getting quality care and how can we change that? 
• What can we bargain for to improve working conditions (in addition to staffing?)
• What supports and services can the union provide to members and how can AFT and AFT CT help with that?
