AFT Connecticut Scholarships

Each year, the AFT Connecticut Scholarship Program awards two types of grants that provide funding to eligible members as well as their dependents. The account is funded by the state federation and additionally supported by donations from local unions as well as the family of former president George Springer, Sr.

Those eligible for a Sharon M. Palmer Scholarship include members’ spouses or domestic partners, as well as their children or grandchildren. The George C. Springer Scholarship is open to members to further their own educational pursuits.
