Connecticut For All “Stand Up CT” Day of Action
Members of all AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions are invited to join labor, faith and community allies in demanding lawmakers and the governor take action to “Stand Up for Connecticut.” Facing the prospect of service cuts due to budget deficits, elected officials have yet to reform restrictive fiscal roadblocks or enact policies requiring the ultra-wealty pay their fair share.
The purpose is to meet with legislators currently debating state budget proposals to assure needed investments in public health, education and safety before the General Assembly adjourns in early May. The action across the state, is being organized by Connecticut for All (CTFA), a labor-faith-community coalition that includes AFT Connecticut.
