“No Kings Day 3: Stand Up CT” Capitol Rally

Members of all AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions and chapters are invited to participate in an effort to unite, energize and educate residents during the national “No Kings 3” day of action. Centered on the test to our nation’s democracy, people of all walks are being called to act to preserve their rights and freedoms around a singular message: “Stand Up CT!”

The action organizers are committed to nonviolent protest and expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully.

The event is being organized by a local alliance that includes our affiliated Hartford Federation of Teachers, as well as the Connecticut For All (CTFA) coalition and the Connecticut Citizen Action Group (CCAG)..

Members are encouraged to park at the Hartford Federation of Teachers union hall, located at 85 Buckingham Street, by 10:45 and march to the State Capitol grounds together at 11:00 am.
