Petitioning to Support Windham Hospital Nurses at 3rd Thursday Street Fest

Members of all AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions and chapters are invited to show solidarity for the registered nurses at Windham Hospital who are demanding safer working conditions and “patients before profits.” Nurses will be attending Willimantic’s Third Thursday Street Fest to help spread the word about their current negotiations for a fair successor contract with Hartford HealthCare, the network that operates the area’s only acute care facility.

The fest begins at 6:00 pm and concludes at 9:00 pm. Feel free to stop by at any point during that time. Check back here for more precise location information, including a booth number.*

Members unable to attend are encouraged to show support for our affiliated Windham Federation of Professional Nurses members by signing their community petition.

*Parking: Main Street is closed to vehicle traffic during the event. Recommended parking locations are the Valley Street parking lot, the Walnut Street garage (approach from Bank Street after 6 PM), or street parking on side streets.
