AFT 2023 Healthcare & Public Employees Professional Issues Conference

Members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated healthcare and public employee unions are invited to attend this first-ever combined professional issues conference (PIC). They will have the opportunity to join leaders and activists from across the country to tackle common problems with creative unique solutions that protect public services and health.

Each division’s agenda will feature a keynote speaker and relevant workshops throughout the two and half day event. Select healthcare PIC sessions provide nursing contact hours to qualifying participants. *

* Learning Outcome: 90% of attendees will report an increase in knowledge of strategic approaches to improve the quality-of-care patients receive and promote safe staffing through education, outreach, advocacy, contract bargaining, and legislation.

Successful Completion: attendees must attend 100% of a session and complete an evaluation to receive up to eleven (11) nursing contact hours.
