Hartford Schools Unions’ “Reading Opens the World”
Members of our AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions representing teachers and education personnel in Hartford Public Schools are teaming up with their colleagues to bring new books to local children. The community organization, Angel of Edgewood, is co-sponsoring the event. Together they are partnering with First Book, an international non-profit social enterprise dedicated to provide brand new, free, and low-cost reading material to kids from low-income families.
