Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT)
Members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions are invited to attend this training on how to react in a life-threatening situation in the workplace. Participants will learn the fundamentals of active violence emergency response training (AVERT):
- Warning signs;
- Defend and attack;
- Equipping your space;
- Situational awareness;
- Escape and evade; and
- Emergency bleeding control.
