Day of Action to “Protect Our Kids”

Members of our AFT Connecticut affiliate representing teachers in New Haven Public Schools are teaming up with parents, caregivers, union members, teachers, students, friends, and neighbors to defend their students The event is part of a coordinated action being organized by our national AFT union to strengthen traditional neighborhood schools and the services children and families depend on.

The purpose is to urge federal representatives to resist tax cuts for the ultra-rich and oppose slashing education funding block grants.

Members of all affiliated local unions, as well as public PreK-12 and higher education advocates are invited to participate.
