Marching for Maternity Care at the Boom Box Parade 

Join members of our local unions representing caregivers at Windham Community Memorial Hospital (WCMH)  to demonstrate support for the region’s mothers and babies. They are joining advocates in the Windham United to Save Our Healthcare coalition to send the message to Hartford HealthCare (HHC) that the collective defense of  critical acute care services continues.

The purpose is to further further engage area residents by marching in the Willimantic “Boom Box Parade” — the region’s largest Independence Day celebration. Members are encouraged to wear their local union tee-shirts and carry signs during the event reinforcing our commitment to accessible maternity care.

Members are meeting at 10:30 am – parade steps off at 11:00 am
