Active Violence Immediate Response Training (AVIRT)
Members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions are invited to attend this training on how to react in a life-threatening situation in the workplace. Participants will learn the fundamentals of active violence immediate response training (AVIRT):
- Warning signs;
- Active shooter response procedures;
- Escape, evade and attack techniques;
- Situational awareness;
- How to become an immediate responder; and
- Emergency bleeding control.
