Hartford May Day March
Members of all AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions are invited to join workers, parents, community members and students to raise our voices for better, safer and stronger communities across the country. The event is part of coordinated national “May Day Strong” actions aimed at expanding democracy, not corporate power.
A speaking program at 3:00 pm and march at 5:00 pm are preceded by the annual May Day Festival on the Green, organized by Unidad Latina en Accion (ULA). Members are encouraged to arrive early to participate in as much of the event as they are available for.
The local event is being organized by the Connecticut for All (CTFA) coalition, which includes our state federation, and several affiliated unions.
