Active Violence Emergency Response Training (AVERT)

Members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions are invited to attend this training on how to react in a life-threatening situation in the workplace. Participants will learn the fundamentals of active violence emergency response training (AVERT):

– Warning signs;
– Defend and attack;
– Equipping your space;
– Situational awareness;
– Escape and evade; &
– Emergency bleeding control.
