Connecticut For All “Fund Public K-12 Schools” Action
Members of all AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions are invited to join labor, faith and community allies in demanding action to fund the future of students in public schools across the state. Despite record surpluses, state lawmakers and the governor have yet to reform restrictive budgetary roadblocks that hamper investments in PreK-12 education that all working families and small businesses depend on.
The purpose is to demand a meeting with Governor Lamont in order to assure needed investments in PreK-12 education before the state legislature adjourns in early June. The rally, part of a “week of action” across the state, is being organized by Connecticut for All (CTFA) and our affiliated New Haven Federation of Teachers.
