AFT Climate Task Force Earth Week Town Hall
Leaders of AFT Connecticut-affiliated locals are invited to this exclusive town hall to hear from members of our national union’s climate task force on efforts to defend the environment. Agenda includes a review of labor activists progress on:
- decarbonizing schools;
- protecting the freedom to teach and research the science of climate change;
- advocating for heat and cold standards to protect workers exposed to extreme weather;
- supporting a just transition to green jobs; &
- educating the next generation on the need for urgent action to protect our planet.
