Academic Freedom Forum: “Our Voices. Our Rights. Our Future.”

Members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions and chapters are invited to attend this event to launch the campaign to secure faculty expertise and autonomy in public and private colleges and universities. The event will feature several panels and presentations addressing the meaning, history and threats to “academic freedom.” Speakers will also address the lack of protections for the vast majority of faculty and staff and the need for legislation to set baseline standards and defend localized expert inquiry.
