AFT’s Weingarten to Visit Newtown

At the media availability, Weingarten, Kuroski and McKeever will discuss their impressions of progress teachers and other school employees are making in their recovery and issues that remain concerns, including greater access to mental health services in the community, gun safety and school security.
 
At the school board meeting, Weingarten will present a collage as a tribute to the six educators killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School nearly two years ago.
