Brown and her lobbyists say that tenure means a job for life and that due process makes it impossible to dismiss ineffective teachers — claims we know couldn’t be further from the truth. Now, emboldened by a radical court ruling in California, they’re spreading this misinformation across the country, starting in New York.
The reality is that Brown and her lobbyists aren’t in this for the kids. A new piece posted on Huffington Post last night shed some light on what is really going on here with Brown, who called her effort a “war” against teachers’ unions.

We need your voice in the debate. Help us push back by sharing these stories on Twitter to expose what Campbell Brown and her friends are really up to — and what we should be focused on to reclaim the promise of public education for all children:
.@Campbell_Brown calls her attacks on teachers unions “a war, not a fight.” See who is behind Wright v. New York: huff.to/1zP2ylu
It may seem like a small act, but sharing these stories is important. Brown and her lobbyists will spend millions of dollars on slick PR to confuse people and put the blame on teachers and our unions. She’ll say she’s fighting to represent students and parents. We need to make sure our friends hear the truth about who she represents.
We’re going to fight this with everything we’ve got. In New York, the New York State United Teachers and the United Federation of Teachers are already mobilized. We’ll fight alongside them in the courts, on the ground and in the media. But we have to start by making sure people know what’s really going on.
You can make a difference, just by sharing these stories and telling your friends what’s happening.
