CT Coalition for Public Education Calls for Flexibility in Common Core Implementation

In the letter, Dr. Karissa L. Niehoff, chair of the coalition, calls on Commissioner Pryor to:

• Decouple the Smarter Balanced assessment results from the evaluation process in 2014-2015.
• SBAC assessment results should not be a required component of teacher and principal evaluation.
• Decouple the 2013-2014 CMT results from evaluation and not administer CAPT in 2013-2014.
