State Budget Cuts Threaten Public Safety

Our union leaders have for the past six weeks consistently called on state policymakers to adopt more sensible approaches for closing current and future state budget shortfalls. Since the governor's "state of the state" speech to the General Assembly on February 3rd, we have urged better choices than slashing vital public education, health and safety services.
 

Spotlight: Judicial Branch Court Support Services Professionals

Each year in mid-July the professionals who provide vital pretrial, probation and parole supervision services are recognized for their efforts to keep our nation's communities safe and stable. Here in Connecticut it's an opportunity to spotlight union members who believe their mission is not just to ensure criminal and juvenile justice but to "act as agents of change."
