"Lifestyles of the Rich & Shameless" Rally & Protest

Our partners in the Connecticut Working Families Party (CT WFP) are organizing a series of actions to demand an economy that works for all, not just the richest 1%. The purpose is to build support for legislation that would raise revenue needed to avoid painful "austerity" budget cuts. A bill that would close the “carried interest” loophole would make our state's tax code more equitable and requiring multi-billionaires to pay the same tax rates as ordinary taxpayers.The actions will culminate in a protest and rally outside the headquarters of one of the world's largest hedge funds — which last year received over $35 million in taxpayer-funded “economic assistance.”
