Diversity & Inclusion in Healthcare Virtual Workshop

Date:
Mon, 10/25/2021 - 6:00pm - 7:30pm
Members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated healthcare unions are invited to attend a virtual workshop focusing on diversity and inclusion in healthcare. This webinar is taking place during the regularly scheduled Healthcare Council meeting on October 25th.

This career education training seeks to help participants appreciate the diversity in the physical characteristics of co-workers, as well as the diversity of their perceptions, attitudes and interpretations. The goal is to improve the overall work environment as people learn more about what it means "to walk in someone else's shoes."

This workshop is being presented by Steven Schrag, co-chair of ConnectiCOSH, the Connecticut Council on Occupational Safety and Health Inc. ConnectiCOSH is an organization of labor, community health and legal people working together to improve health, safety, and environmental conditions at work sites and in our communities.
