Norwalk Schools Unions’ "Reading Opens the World"

Members of our AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions representing teachers and non-certified paraprofessionals and school-related  personnel in Norwalk Public Schools are joining their colleagues to bring new books to local children. Together they are partnering with First Book, an international non-profit social enterprise dedicated to provide brand new, free, and low-cost reading material to kids from low-income families.

 

Members, parents and advocates are also encouraged to volunteer beforehand and during the event with sorting and distribution.
