AFT Connecticut has teamed up with our allies in the Connecticut Education Association (CEA) to present this unique course offering a platform for teaching rigor and critical thinking skills. The "Future Problem Solvers of CT" is a competitive program that lends itself to remote learning and delivers communication, collaboration, research, problem-solving and creativity for grade 4-12 students. Members of affiliated local unions representing PreK-12 teachers and paraprofessionals and school-related personnel (PSRPs) are invited to take advantage of this benefit.
Agenda includes review of this year’s topics:
  • Youth in Competitive Sports;
  • Wearable Technology;
  • Human Environmental Impact; &
  • Personalized Medicine.
Presenters include Laura Hipp and Tom Marak. They will discuss how the program works, different ways to participate and what members will need to get started.
