Date:
Sat, 08/20/2022 - 9:00am - 4:00pm
Note: revised end time.

Local union activists, labor allies and supporters invited to attend this "Train-the-Trainer" workshop to learn about free tools aimed at helping borrowers and their families lessen and manage their student debt. The goal is for participants to be able to use their learning to help train their co-workers going forward.

Breakfast and lunch are included.

To be eligible, participants are required to attend at least one AFT Student Debt Clinic webinar. Sessions are scheduled each Thursday beginning in late July and are posted at our website's Calendar (registration linked below).

More than 43 million US workers owe $1.4 trillion dollars in student loans, with ~93% of it owed to the U.S. Department of Education. Workers are going into more debt to finance their education, and more workers are defaulting on those loans because wages aren't rising to keep up with costs.
