SUMMARY:“No Kings Day 2” New Haven Protest
DESCRIPTION:\nMembers of all AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions and chapters are invited to join community members in taking to the streets as part of nationwide mass protests to say: “No kings.” The purpose is to follow-up mass protests organized in June and demonstrate an even greater  response to authoritarian excesses and corruption from the Trump Administration and its allies in Congress.\n\n\n\nThe action organizers are committed to nonviolent protest and expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values, and to act lawfully.\n\n\n\nThe event is part of a coordinated day of action organized by an alliance that includes both our national union and the Connecticut For All (CTFA) coalition, which includes AFT Connecticut.\n\n\n\nRegister to participate ( https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/846996/ ) at the New Haven protest and find additional events scheduled across the state.\n\n\n\nLearn more about the wider “No Kings” movement ( https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/ ).\n
