SUMMARY:“Direct Action, Direct Care” Street Medic Workshop (Evening Session)
DESCRIPTION:\nMembers of AFT Connecticut-affiliated Higher Education, PreK-12, Public Employees and PSRP unions are invited to attend this new safety course focused on direct action, protest and civil disobedience preparation.* Participants will learn the essential skills to provide emergency medical care in high-stress environments. The session will cover:\n\n\n\n–  the role of street medics;– understanding the Good Samaritan law;– adult first aid for common protest injuries;– triage and patient assessment;– teamwork, buddy systems & scene safety.\n\n\n\nSnacks provided.
