SUMMARY:Adult First Aid, CPR & AED Training: Combined Full and Refresher Course
DESCRIPTION:\nUpdate: Registration for this course is full. \n\n\n\nMembers of AFT Connecticut-affiliated Higher Education, PreK-12, Public Employee and PSRP unions are invited to attend this Adult First Aid, CRP & AEP Training course.* This session offers both the full course for those taking it for the first time, and the refresher course for those needing to renew their certification. Participants will learn, hands-on, the steps for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and basic adult first aid. An American Safety Health Institute (ASHI) approved certification card, good for two years, will be provided after completion. \n\n\n\nFull Course: Includes self-directed online lessons followed by an in-person, instructor-led lesson. Participants will be contacted after registration with the information on how to complete the online portion of the training. \n\n\n\nRefresher Course: Participants are only required to do the in-person, instructor-led session. Copy of current certification will need to be sent in and can be no more than 30 days expired (6/22/25) prior to class (usually current card will be from the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association).\n\n\n\nSnacks will be provided.
