SUMMARY:Connecticut For All “Fund Public K-12 Schools” Action
DESCRIPTION:\nMembers of all AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions are invited to join labor, faith and community allies in demanding action to fund the future of students in public schools across the state. Despite record surpluses, state lawmakers and the governor have yet to reform restrictive budgetary roadblocks that hamper investments in PreK-12 education that all working families and small businesses depend on.\n\n\n\nThe purpose is to demand a meeting with Governor Lamont in order to assure needed investments in PreK-12 education before the state legislature adjourns in early June. The rally, part of a “week of action” across the state, is being organized by Connecticut for All (CTFA) and our affiliated New Haven Federation of Teachers.\n\n\n\nRegister to attend.\n\n\n\nSend email to volunteer for risking arrest at the action (not required to attend – will be limited to members who consent in advance to participating in civil disobedience).\n\n\n\nLearn more about the CTFA coalition.\n\n\n\n0521 Fund Public Ed Action Flyer ( https://aftct.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/0521-Fund-Public-Ed-Action-Flyer.pdf )Download\n
