DESCRIPTION:\nMembers of our AFT Connecticut-affiliated union representing clinical care, academic and research professionals at UConn Health are teaming up with their colleagues to bring new books to local children. Together they are partnering with First Book, an international non-profit social enterprise dedicated to provide brand new, free, and low-cost reading material to pediatric care patients. \n\n\n\nMembers, parents and advocates are also encouraged to volunteer beforehand and during the event with sorting and distribution.\n\n\n\nContact the president of our University Health Professionals (UHP) union (at right)  to sign-up to volunteer.\n\n\n\nClick here to learn more about the “Reading Opens the World” initiative. \n
