SUMMARY:AFT Summer Educator Academy Courses
DESCRIPTION:\nLeaders of AFT Connecticut-affiliated PreK-12, PSRP and Higher Education local unions are encouraged to send participants to our national union’s signature Summer Educator Academy (SEA). This comprehensive and intensive training institute prepares educators to return to their locals as facilitators in specific course areas. Educators and school support staff will be provided tools, resources and turnkey strategies to help build the professional capacity of their local unions.\n\n\n\nLocal leaders or designees must recommend participants for the “train-the-trainer” sessions, who must complete the online course, “Delivering Effective Professional Development (DEPD),” prior to attending.
