DESCRIPTION:\nMembers of all AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions and chapters are invited to join Willimantic area siblings to march in the annual “Boom Box Parade” — the region’s largest Independence Day celebration. \n\n\n\nWe’re marching as a cohesive, unified group for a variety of unit-specific issues. \n\n\n\nThe Windham Federation of Professional Nurses, AFT Local 5041 is marching to send the message to Hartford HealthCare (HHC) that members of the bargaining unit deserve a fair contract. \n\n\n\nUCPEA/AFT Local 3695, UConn-AAUP/AFT Local 6746 and CSU-AAUP/AFT Local 6745 members are marching to hold Governor Ned Lamont accountable to fully funding the state’s public colleges and universities.\n\n\n\nMembers are encouraged to wear their local union t-shirts and carry signs during the event, reinforcing our commitment to a united front when it comes to these issues and more.\n\n\n\nCheck back later for more details on where/when members will be meeting.\n\n\n\n\n
