SUMMARY:Seven Days in June “Health Cuts Kill” Vigil
DESCRIPTION:\nMembers of AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions and chapters are invited to honor those who have already lost and the millions more at risk of losing their medical coverage. Over $1 trillion in federal health funding cuts included in last summer’s “Big Ugly Law” are set to take effect after the November elections. Over 14 million people are at risk, in addition to jobs, hospitals and research across the nation, of losing critical care and vital resources.\n\n\n\nThe non-partisan vigil is part of a national, grassroots-driven week of action aimed at raising awareness of the looming crisis.
