Healthcare "Compassion Fatigue" Workshop

Mon, 12/18/2017 - 5:30pm - 7:00pm
This professional development workshop for members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated healthcare unions will help caregivers identify and overcome "compassion fatigue," an issue that impacts all facets of health professionals' worklives. In addition to job satisfaction, emotional and physical health, the symptoms can also lead to decreased productivity and increased turnover if not addressed. Empathic and caring workers can become victims of the continuing stress of meeting the often overwhelming needs of patients and their families, resulting in compassion fatigue
The presenter is Danbury Nurses Union member Megan O’Toole, RN. Light dinner will be served.
