Feeding every student at UConn is no small task, even harder when there’s a snow storm. Just ask Stephen Anthony, Area Manager for the North Campus Dining Hall.

“We provide essential services,” says Stephen. “Everyone works together to get the job done even when there’s a snow storm or power outage. We have an amazing flexible crew.”

Three years ago Stephen brought honey bees to UConn with the help of production chef Amy Gronis. “Dining services uses 3,600 pounds of honey a year,” says Stephen. The bee hives are producing 300-2000 pounds of honey each year for UConn and are used to educate local schools about bees.

Connecticut needs Stephen Anthony. We are asking policy makers to find the revenue needed to keep Stephen—and other state employees—doing the work that matters for Connecticut.
