Heidi Lane

Heidi Lane has been a principal attorney with the Dept. of Labor for 18 years.

Making sure employers are following the law may seem like a small job, but when a worker on maternity leave under FMLA was told she couldn’t have her job back, Heidi stepped in to set things right. They fought the case all the way to the State Supreme Court and won.

“In many cases we represent the last line of defense for workers,” says Heidi.

Unfortunately, state budget cuts and staff shortages threaten Heidi’s ability to make sure our laws are upheld.

Connecticut needs Heidi Lane. We’re asking legislators to find the revenue to keep Heidi, and other state employees, doing the work that matters for Connecticut’s people.
