When parents divorce things can be tough enough without the complexity of child support. That’s where Colin O’Neill comes in. As a child support enforcement officer, Colin O’Neill works with both parents and agencies to make sure court orders are being followed.

“We get to help people,” says Colin. “In this economy there are a lot of people who are hurting and having trouble paying their child support. We help them connect with services that can give people hope and direction. We can help stop a bad situation from becoming worse.”

In Colin’s office alone, state workers are handling 25,000 cases.

Connecticut needs Colin O’Neill. We are asking policy makers to find the revenue needed to keep Colin and other state employees doing the work that matters for Connecticut.
