As the fiscal administrative officer for the Department of Environmental Protection, Bryan Gunning recovers clean-up costs for the state.

“We protect taxpayers’ money,” says Bryan. “When a spill occurs we make sure the responsible party pays for it.”

In the 13 years Bryan has been doing this job he has recovered millions of dollars in money for the state from polluters.

Bryan is also active in the state employee campaign for charitable giving; he’s helped to more than double contributions in the time he’s been involved.

State employees like Bryan Gunning are vital to keeping Connecticut’s environment safe and making polluters pay. We need to keep them doing work that matters.
