Training for Educators on Undocumented Students

Date:
Thu, 03/01/2018 - 5:00pm - 7:00pm
This workshop for members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated unions is designed to help PreK-12 and Higher Education professionals support and advocate for undocumented youth. The presentation will cover barriers and challenges faced by these marginalized students, the broader system that has created their precarious circumstances and current laws and policies that impact them. Plan to bring questions and ideas for a conversation around working together with community allies to make a difference in impacted students' lives.

The clinic is being coordinated by Connecticut Students for a Dream (C4D). The presenter is Stefan Keller, the organization's college access program coordinator.

Light dinner will be served.
