"Workplace Bullying in Healthcare" Workshop

This professional development workshop for members of AFT Connecticut-affiliated healthcare unions will help provide caregivers solutions for protecting individuals and working with management to change the culture of bullying. Workplace bullying is a huge problem within healthcare, causing many to leave the profession. Whether perpetrated by managers or co-workers, bullying often goes unchecked and has serious impacts on the health and well-being of the victim and even impacts by-standers. 
The presenter is AFT Nurses and Health Professionals Assistant Director Sara Markle-Elder.
Dinner will be served. Participants will recieve credit for 2.0 contact hours.

The American Federation of Teachers/Nurses and Health Professionals is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. There has been no commercial support of this program and the presenter declares there is no conflict of interest. At the completion of the program, participants will report increased self-confidence in reporting bullying incidents. Participants will be awarded 2.0 contact hours by signing in, attending 100 percent of the workshop and completing an evaluation.
