Online Collective Bargaining Webinar Series - Session 3

AFT has teamed up with Cornell University’s Scheinman Institute on Conflict Resolution (CICR) for a series of webinars designed to help union leaders adapt best practices for effective online bargaining.
 
In the third webinar, which will focus on bargaining topics in the K-12 setting, participants will learn about:
  • Lessons learned from bargaining during the shutdown of public schools; &
  • Issues in bargaining to reopen schools, including:
    • Health and safety practices, e.g. personal protective equipment, distancing and accommodations for staff and students;
    • Scheduling and configuration of the workday; &
    • Social and emotional supports.
Presenters include Michael Mulgrew, president of the United Federation of Teachers in New York City, and Karla Hernandez-Mats, president of the United Teachers of Dade in Miami.
 
This webinar series is included in the AFT-Cornell Collective Bargaining Certificate Program.
